Loved the historical village and presentations for each of the places in the village. The presenters were knowledgeable and passionate about their specific area. Enjoyed watching the glass making workshop and the blacksmith, they are truly skilled artists. Great place for families, especially for younger children to learn about Ohio history. Also if visiting I highly recommend stopping by the cafe inside the village, loved the service and the chocolate was delicious.
Our Girl Scout troop spent a day at Sauder Village and everyone had a great time. Between the knowledgeable and polite docents, the live animals and the tasty food - a great time was had by all and we're looking forward to a return trip to see more.
Visited Sauder Village in May with my son and his class. They all had a great time while learning about the past as well. The train and blacksmith where both favorites with my small group.
What a blast we had at the village today!! Very educational and delightful! It made me want to learn how to make a broom and churn butter. My son decided he would like to learn to make a wooden bucket - become a Cooper. What a fanatic idea!! Sauder is really figuring out how to help people enjoy their history lessons!
Great place to visit. Wish we would have had more time! Definitely going back. Will definitely be looking into camping options!
